Illus. from photographs. Pictorial cloth lettered in gilt. Second Edition. Boston: Little, Brown, [1907].
First published in 1906. replete with images of tables, prepared dishes, appliances, uniforms, etc. This was an instruction manual for female servants at dinner service, with exacting notes on how to perform each menial duty. This copy is particularly wonderful because its owner has made numerous pencil markings delineating particulars of her own service, underlining important instructions for herself (remove the salad plates "one at a time without the tray", etc.).
Minor rubbing or softening to spine ends & corners, else very good and bright.
